A badger fell down a mine shaft which collapsed in on itself near Holwell at the weekend.
The animal was stuck down the 30ft deep hole for six days before fire crews rescued the tired and dehydrated mammal.
 
Angela Downham, founder of the hospital, said: "We were called because of my expertise with badgers. It is now doing everything a badger should be doing, but with a lot of sleep.
